About Me:

Hello! I’m Wes Paxton! Crappie fishing has been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. What started as time on the water has grown into a true passion that has stayed with me over the years. I have always enjoyed not just catching fish, but the experiences, friendships, and lessons that come with it.

I am a Christian, a family man—married and a father of three—and my faith and family are central to who I am. They have always been a big part of supporting my time on the water.
Like many anglers, I balance fishing with a full-time career. I work in the utility sector with CenterPoint Energy in Houston, Texas, and this year marks 25 years with the company. Even with a busy schedule, I make it a priority to spend as much time as I can on the water, continuing to learn and improve. I am also a club member of the Crappie Anglers of Texas and regularly fish their annual tournament trails, which has added another level of challenge and enjoyment to the sport for me. Looking ahead to after I retire, I plan to pursue guiding so I can share my passion for crappie fishing with others on a more personal level.

I have been around the sport long enough to appreciate quality gear, and I’m proud to be part of the Outlaw Crappie Poles family. I’m excited to represent a brand that shares my passion for crappie fishing, as well as to help grow the sport for the next generation.
