Hi! I am Chad Nolan, a lifelong outdoorsman from Ruston, Louisiana. I grew up in Farmerville, Louisiana fishing Lake D’Arbonne. Over the last decade, crappie fishing has become my true passion. Today, I focus mostly on chasing crappie, although I still enjoy a good bream trip on the lake as well. I offer bream trips as well because I feel this is a great way for families to have a fun relaxing trip on the lake. Whether I am with family, friends, or customers, nothing makes me happier than spending time on the water and sharing that experience with others.

My wife is Christi and we have a daughter, Elli, who will be 20 years old in December. She is enrolled in Long Island University and she is doing a full study abroad program. She spent last year in Costa Rica, and just left this past weekend for Europe until May 2026. So Christi and I are getting to experience some of these countries with her! I am also an avid deer hunter, but crappie fishing is quickly overtaking my time spent in the woods. I have worked for Energy Transfer since 2001. I am a graduate of LA Tech in Engineering. I have worked my entire career in the oil and gas industry. I am also a reserve deputy sheriff for Union Parish. I started in 2005 and I currently lead our program. We work side by side with our full time guys. I work about 40-60 hrs a month with the sheriff department.

In January of 2025, I earned my U.S. Coast Guard captain license and launched D’Arbonne Outdoors, my guide service on Lake D’Arbonne. With more than 24 years in the oil and gas industry, I built my guide business, not just as a retirement dream, but as a way to pass along my knowledge and passion for fishing. Every trip is about more than just filling coolers.It is about teaching, laughing, and making memories that last a lifetime. I also enjoy seeing kids have the opportunity to get involved in the outdoors.
